About 50 instead of 570 kcal per 100 g, compared with ready-made remoulade in the BLS.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • To taste: Salt, Pepper, Sweetener, Turmeric, for colour

Takes the recipe with 4 portions into the app, with grams and nutrition.

Method

  1. Chop the gherkins, capers and herbs very finely.
  2. Stir the skyr with the mustard until smooth and fold in everything chopped.
  3. Season with salt, pepper and a few drops of sweetener. A pinch of turmeric makes it yellow like the bought one.
  4. If there is time, leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes. The taste gets rounder.

Calculated with the values of the German food composition database BLS 4.0. Spoons are level, their weight comes from the USDA database, an egg counts as 50 g without shell. Seasonings to taste are not counted. Per 100 g refers to the weight of the ingredients before cooking.1

Good to know

  • Low-fat quark works the same, it just gets a little firmer. A splash of the gherkin brine makes it softer again.
  • If you miss the taste of mayonnaise, stir in a teaspoon of it. That is not counted here, best log it separately.

Storage

Covered in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.3

Rather buy it ready-made?

  • The chiller has remoulade and salad cream with less fat. Compare the calories per 100 g on the back, the differences are large.
  • Danish-style remoulade is often sweeter and thinner. Here too, the nutrition table decides, not the name.
